John Astle- Owner/Embalmer/FDIC

John started his funeral service in 1992 at Leavitt's Chapel of Flowers Mortuary in Ogden, Utah. This is where his love of embalming and caring for the deceased began. After completing his apprenticeship in Utah, he moved to Oklahoma City to get his degree at the University of Central Oklahoma, graduating in 1995. He worked in several funeral homes in the following years. In 2005, he became a full time embalmer and crematory operator. In 2018, he took over ownership of Oklahoma Mortuary Service. 


Toni Blake - Embalmer


Toni began at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2005. While trying many fields and majors, it was her love of science and human anatomy that finally brought her to the funeral service program. She became a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in 2015 and started employment at Oklahoma Mortuary Service. She took over as FDIC of OMS in 2016



Randi Trease - Embalmer

Randi started attending the University of Central Oklahoma in 2014 while trying a few different majors. She apprenticed with OMS before graduating in 2019 with degrees in both Funeral Service and Forensic Science. She became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in early 2020 and shortly after went to work for a funeral home in Bartlesville. Randi is happy to be back at OMS and working with her mortuary family and serving other Oklahoma funeral homes. 



Whitney Fleming- Embalmer

Whitney completed her apprenitship in Virginia before transferring to John A Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, TN, graduating in 2001. In 2007 she received her Funeral Director and Embalming Licenses and worked at multiple OKC funeral homes. In 2018, she began working as an embalmer for OMS



Michelle Miller- Death Certificate Specialist

Michelle has worked in the funeral industry since 2012, joining the OMS team in 2016. She has experience in the day to day operations of a funeral home. At Oklahoma Mortuary Service Michelle handles the filing of Death Certificates, transit and cremation permits, and dispatching first calls.
